In a rapidly changing world everybody wants to be Agile and Lean. But what does it mean to be Agile? What about Lean? What is the best approach for my organization? Do I need to choose, or should I try them both and let the best one win?

Agile in business has become a topic more and more frequently discussed in the corporate world, together with the need to build a responsive organization. It has become clear that organizations must reshape organically and find their own path towards a more meaningful experience for customers, as well as for employees. The question is how much we keep of the old model and how much we reinvent? Where does the efficiency stop and the innovation continue?

  • 70% of the companies reported as main benefit for adopting Agile to be the ability to manage changing priorities
  • 64% had better time to market.

There is so much buzz around AGILE that is certainly the MUST have for a while now. Lots of companies are talking about it, but I wonder how much is buzz and how much is a real need. FOMO of the new ways of working almost makes companies feel left behind if they mention LEAN, efficiency, or process designs or the likes of it. But what if we would start looking at the context and not try to fit in one framework or another? We would see that things actually co-exist and we can have both innovation and efficiency programs running in the same organization. And on top of it, both methodologies work best when applied holistically.

So this is how we came up with the idea of this webinar – let’s have an honest talk and see how both AGILE and LEAN can mix & match for delivering the best customer value.

ABOUT THE LECTURERS

Maria has 18 years of experience in the financial sector, with track record in business redesign and setting up of new business lines. She was at the frontline of Agile implementation in ING Bank, as well as redesigning several processes using lean methodology. As a consultant, Maria has assisted companies in various fields on Agile implementation, organizational analysis and process (re)design. Her experience is backed by continuous education: PMI – ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) and Black Belt Lean 6 sigma certification. Maria has graduated as EMBA from MSM Romania.

Roxana has over 15 years of experience in financial sector, being an expert in Continuous Improvement and Innovation methods. She has played a key role in mapping core processes in NN Asigurari and further, has managed to combine her lean abilities with innovation methods, acting as a transformation and governance expert. Further, she has assisted companies for process mapping and re-design, as well as roll-out of Design Thinking programs, delivered through Agile way of working. She is certified as Master Black Belt Lean 6 sigma, as well as Innovation Trainer.
